The CIC has been working with residents in some of the new communities in Newton Abbot. We’ve been asking residents about the facilities they would like to see provided in their neighbourhoods as the number of houses grows.
We’ve been talking to the Fairways community which is part of Hele Park on the western edge of Newton Abbot. They asked us if we could pay for a new noticeboard so they could advertise forthcoming events and community activities. A small step in terms of providing facilities, but an important one as the area has no community building from which to run events and activities.
